The second installation is an out-of-scale, 7:1 object of the Grande Milano chair designed by Aldo Rossi in 1987 for Molteni& C, a work that celebrates the memory of his hometown and is a tribute to Aldo Rossi, master of 20th-century architecture and the first Italian architect to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1990.Filled with interesting, entertaining and heart-warming people, places and phenomena, Caffè Italia is a bi-annual beautifully printed publication that celebrates the soul, flavour and backbone of Italy. The work represents a synthesis of the architect, designer and urban planner’s research on the theme of “mobile architecture”. The installation consists of three housing modules built of recycled materials, immaterial infrastructures containing mobile elements, in which it is easy to recognize the low-cost furnishings.
Caffe italia plus#
Meuble Plus by Yona Friedman, which will only be on display for the public until April 17, was created on the occasion of the 2018 edition of Fuorisalone. Moreover, From April 1, two new installations designed by two masters of architecture, which have recently become part of the permanent collection of the Triennale Milano, are on display in the gardens, named after Giancarlo De Carlo: “Meuble Plus”a project for the support of refugees conceived by Yona Friedman, and “Grande Milano”the chair designed by Italian architect Aldo Rossi in a 7:1 scale. Caffe italia windows#
The intervention also served to enhance the line of perspective from the entrance, making the large windows overlooking Parco Sempione more visible.
